Log in to AOL Instant Messenger.

Click on the desired icon above. You will get
a prompt asking you if you would like to change your personal
buddy icon. Click "OK."

Now, when you chat with your buddy in AOL Instant
Messenger,
your icon will show up as Justin on their computer!
Alternately, you can
-
Right click on the desired icon above and save
it to your hard drive (don't forget where you save it as you
will need to find it later).

In AOL IM, select the icon (in Preferences...)
that you just downloaded.
