"I wrote this about a week before I came back to
Hawai`i. I started with the organ pad and wrote a whole different song to the chords. It
didn't feel right to me though, a little too melancholy or something. So I just let the music play and hit record and started singing whatever came into my head. I just kept trying things until something came out that felt right. After a few times through I came up with the melody for the verses and the first line of the song. I liked the 'dedication' concept, and just wrote the song around that."
