"This song was first written by a good friend Jamma Joe, of the group Local Jam. Mr. Bob, my producer, has always had a thing for the song and asked me to take the melody of the chorus and the title "Butterfly" and re-write all the lyrics and the verses. It was a bit tough at first for me to inhabit someone else's creation. I finally came up with something and on the way to the studio to record it, my mom and I stopped to visit our friend Brianna. I was lucky enough to have Brianna as a foster sister for a few months and she is the sweetest, most amazing little girl. She'll always feel like family to us. Anyway, we visited her in her new house, with her new family and immediately I noticed her room was filled with pictures of butterflies. After we left, my mom explained that Brianna loves butterflies and once shared a poignant story in which she was a butterfly. I knew right away that this song had to about her. I postponed the recording of it and started over. One thing that has always struck me about Bri, is that despite not having the easiest life, her eyes always seem to spill such beautiful goodness. We do miss her."

Butterfly
INTRO:
C'mon, c'mon let's fly
There's a butterfly inside
I see it smile
There's a butterfly inside
I see it smile
Beautiful wings decide
Carefully where she want to fly
Flowers bend, wind unties
Watch her rise to fly
CHORUS:
There's a butterfly inside
I see it smile, in Brianna's eyes
There's a butterfly inside
I see it smile, in Brianna's eyes
Lifted by hope's design
She carries so much on wings so light
Land here by my side
It's alright, it's alright just fly
CHORUS
